There is no bad season, only different retreats. Winter gives the team the ski hill 500 metres away and evenings by the fire; fall is planning season with the escarpment in colour and the easiest calendars; summer adds the private Georgian Bay beach; spring is quiet and usually the best value. Midweek dates in any season are the easiest to secure. Ski-season weekends and holiday weeks book earliest, so plan those months ahead.
Winter (December to March)
Ski season. The hill is 500 metres from the chalet, so an afternoon on the slopes fits between sessions, and the evenings are the hot tub and the wood-burning fireplace. It is also the busiest season at the resort: weekends and the holiday weeks (Christmas, New Year’s, Family Day, March Break) go first, so a winter retreat is best booked months ahead, and midweek is where the availability is. See ski corporate retreats.
Spring (April to May)
The quiet stretch after the snow and before the beach season. Trails open, the Village is calm, and dates are easy. Usually the best value for a working retreat where the focus is the room, not the mountain.
Summer (June to August)
The private Georgian Bay beach, five minutes away, the gondola, biking, golf and dinner on the deck. Good for a team day or a reward trip; book early for weekends.
Fall (September to November)
Planning season for many teams, and the mountain’s best-looking months, with the escarpment in colour. Hiking, the Scenic Caves and the gondola are open, the evenings are cool enough for the fireplace, and midweek dates are usually straightforward. See fall corporate retreats.
How far ahead to book
For holiday weeks and ski-season weekends, three to four months ahead; for a midweek retreat in spring or fall, a few weeks is often enough, though popular dates still go first. The honest answer for your dates is one message away.
