Retreat questions

What team-building activities are there at Blue Mountain?

Retreat questions · Last reviewed October 2026 · Blue Mountain Retreats, hosted by Tyrolean Village Resorts

Short answer

More than a team can use in one trip. In winter the ski hill is 500 metres from the chalet; the rest of the year it is the gondola, the Scenic Caves, hiking on the escarpment, downhill biking and golf, plus winery and brewery tours, spa days and, in the warm months, a private sandy beach on Georgian Bay five minutes away. Back at the chalet there is the hot tub, the games room with a ping pong table and the BBQ deck, which is where most of the real bonding happens.

At the chalet

Some of the best team building needs no booking: a ping pong tournament in the games room, dinner cooked together in the kitchen, the hot tub under the stars, a BBQ on the deck. Guests have mentioned the volleyball courts and soccer pitches nearby too.

On the mountain

Blue Mountain is Ontario’s largest four-season resort and it starts 500 metres from the door: skiing and snowboarding in winter; the gondola, the Scenic Caves, the escarpment trails, downhill biking and golf from spring to fall. An afternoon hour on the hill or the trails does more for the afternoon session than a fourth coffee. See team-building retreats.

Organized team building, tours and tastings

Our Things to Do page is a directory of local providers with phone numbers: team-building and event companies, wineries, breweries and cideries with tours and designated transport, golf courses and ski services. Your organizer contacts them directly, which keeps the pricing clear.

Wellness

A spa day, yoga, a float or an in-chalet massage to close the retreat; the wellness providers are listed on the same page.

The beach

From late spring into early fall, a private, sandy Georgian Bay beach reserved for our guests, five minutes by car: swimming, paddling, a volleyball net. See the private beach page. The Group Activities guide puts the options in one document for your planner.
