Retreat questions

How many people can Blue Mountain Retreats host?

Retreat questions · Last reviewed October 2026 · Blue Mountain Retreats, hosted by Tyrolean Village Resorts

Short answer

Groups of 5 to 42. Each of our three matching luxury chalets has seven bedrooms, fourteen beds and six and a half bathrooms, and sleeps 14. Book one chalet for a leadership group, two for a team of up to 28, or all three side by side, which gives you 21 bedrooms and 42 beds on one private property with no other guests. Bigger than 42? Our neighbouring Tyrolean Village Resorts has five more cottages a short walk away, sleeping 8 to 20 each.

One chalet: 5 to 14 people

A single chalet suits an executive or leadership retreat, a small team or a department: seven bedrooms with a private bathroom in nearly every room, a vaulted great room for the sessions, a dining table that seats fourteen, a full kitchen, a games room and a private hot tub. Five people in a chalet built for fourteen is not a problem; it means everyone gets their own room. See executive retreats.

Two or three chalets: 15 to 42

The three chalets (#A15, #A16 and #A17) stand next to each other at the base of the mountain and are finished to the same standard. Two chalets sleep 28; all three sleep 42, with three great rooms for parallel breakouts and one property to yourselves. Nobody is split between a hotel wing and a conference floor. See large-group retreats.

If everyone needs their own room

Single occupancy is the most common request from corporate planners. Count bedrooms, not beds: seven private rooms per chalet, 21 across all three (and 42 beds in total, 14 per chalet). A group of 15 that wants a room each takes all three chalets; a group of 12 fits in two. Tell us how many people are willing to share and we will suggest the smallest set of chalets that works.

Bigger than 42?

Yes, within the same village. Our neighbouring Tyrolean Village Resorts has five more cottages and chalets a short walk from the luxury chalets: an 8-bedroom chalet that sleeps 20, a 6-bedroom cottage that sleeps 16, two 4-bedroom cottages that sleep 10 each and a 4-bedroom apartment that sleeps 8. Tell us the numbers and we will put the combination together, so a company of more than 42 still stays in one village and meets in the luxury chalets’ great rooms.

Questions

Good to know

How many bedrooms are there in total?

Twenty-one: seven in each of the three chalets, with a private bathroom in nearly every room and six and a half bathrooms per chalet.

How many beds are there in total?

Forty-two: fourteen in each of the three chalets, spread across 21 bedrooms. One chalet has 14 beds, two have 28, all three have 42.

Can you host more than 42 people?

Yes. Our neighbouring Tyrolean Village Resorts has five more cottages a short walk away, sleeping 8 to 20 each, so a bigger company still stays in one village. Tell us the numbers and we will suggest the combination.

Can 15 people each have their own room?

Yes, by booking all three chalets, which gives 21 private bedrooms. Two chalets give 14 rooms.

Are the three chalets really next to each other?

Yes. #A15, #A16 and #A17 sit side by side at the base of Blue Mountain, so a group that books all three walks between them in seconds.

Can a small group of five book one chalet?

Yes. Executive and leadership groups often take one chalet; everyone gets a bedroom and the whole house.
