Retreat questions

Is catering available for a retreat at Blue Mountain?

Retreat questions · Last reviewed October 2026 · Blue Mountain Retreats, hosted by Tyrolean Village Resorts

Short answer

Yes, three ways. Every chalet has a fully equipped kitchen and a gas BBQ on the deck for cooking in; local private chefs and caterers, listed with their phone numbers on our Things to Do page, will cook in the chalet or deliver for a group; and Blue Mountain Village, with its restaurants, is a ten-minute walk. There is no in-house catering and no per-plate minimum, so you choose the mix that fits the budget and the agenda.

Cook in

Each chalet has a fully equipped kitchen and a dining table that seats fourteen, so breakfast and a working lunch happen without anyone leaving the room. A gas BBQ on the deck does dinner for the team on a summer evening. Groups that want to keep the day simple bring groceries from Collingwood and keep the kitchen running.

Bring in a chef or caterer

For a dinner nobody has to cook, book a private chef to cook in the chalet or a caterer to deliver. Our Things to Do directory lists local providers with phone numbers and websites, among them Culinary Designs and Cabin Kitchen for a private chef, Oliver & Bonacini, BOH Catering, Men With Knives and Occasion Foodhall for catering, and Beach Veggie for vegan and dietary options. You contact them directly, agree the menu and the price, and they come to you.

Walk to the Village

Blue Mountain Village is a ten-minute walk from the chalets, with restaurants from pizza and tacos to premium dining, so an evening out needs no bus and no designated driver. The Things to Do page lists a dozen of them with phone numbers for a group reservation.

A simple two-night food plan

  • Night one: BBQ on the deck, or dinner in the Village
  • The working day: breakfast and a working lunch from the chalet kitchen
  • Night two: a private chef cooking in the great room
  • Last morning: breakfast together, then the drive home

Dietary needs and drinks

With your own kitchen and chefs you brief yourself, dietary requirements are simple to handle: tell the chef or caterer directly. For drinks, we are in wine, cider and craft beer country; the Things to Do page lists local wineries, breweries and cideries, several of which host tastings and tours.
