Retreat questions

Is there real meeting space in the chalets, or just bedrooms?

Retreat questions · Last reviewed October 2026 · Blue Mountain Retreats, hosted by Tyrolean Village Resorts

Short answer

Yes. Each chalet is built around a vaulted, open-concept great room that holds the whole group, with a dining table that seats fourteen as the boardroom table, decks for breakouts and high-speed wifi that holds up for a full day of video calls. The room is yours for the entire stay, so nothing gets packed away at five, and with two or three chalets you have two or three full-group rooms for parallel sessions.

The great room

The main floor of each chalet is one open space: a vaulted great room with a wood-burning fireplace, the kitchen and the dining area. It is where the team sits for the morning session, where lunch lands at one table and where the evening ends. Because it is a house and not a hotel, you set it up once and it stays that way for the whole stay: your whiteboards and flip charts up, laptops open, phones face down.

Breakouts

The dining table seats fourteen and works as a boardroom table for the formal part of the day. For smaller groups, the lounge, the decks with mountain views and the games room give you three or four more places to split into. Book two or three chalets and each has its own great room, so a 30-person company can run three tracks at once and come back together for dinner.

Screens, wifi and the practical bits

High-speed wifi runs throughout each chalet and holds up to a full day of video calls, so a hybrid session with people dialling in is fine. Tell us what you plan to set up, a screen, a projector or a whiteboard wall, and we will tell you what is already in the chalet and what to bring. Parking is at the door, so unloading takes minutes. The Meeting and Gathering Spaces sheet shows the rooms.

What a working day looks like here

  • Morning: the hardest session, whole team in the great room
  • Lunch: at the table that seats fourteen, or the gas BBQ on the deck
  • Afternoon: split across the lounge, the decks and the games room, or an hour on the hill or the trails to reset the room
  • Evening: hot tub, a ping pong tournament, one long dinner

Questions

Good to know

How many people fit in the great room?

The open main floor seats the full chalet group of fourteen for a session. A company of 30 to 42 across three chalets runs a room in each chalet and comes together for meals.

Can we leave our setup overnight?

Yes. The chalet is yours for the whole booking, so the room stays exactly as you left it.

Is there a projector or a TV for presentations?

Tell us what you plan to set up when you inquire and we will confirm what is in the chalet for your dates and what to bring.

Is the wifi strong enough for a hybrid meeting?

Yes. High-speed wifi runs throughout each chalet and is reliable for video calls and a full day of work.

Planning a working session?

Tell us the format and the headcount and we’ll match you to one chalet or three.
